What concrete actually costs.
No mystery numbers.

Concrete is scope-based — square footage, thickness, reinforcement, demo, and finish move the number. Here’s where each project type starts. Every quote is line-item, written, and held to.

A finished slab is more than the topcoat. What's under it is what makes it last.

Every Cannida cement project includes subgrade preparation, formwork to spec, the mix design called for in the quote, reinforcement where engineering requires it, finish to the agreed standard, controlled cure, and a written walkthrough at completion — so what we promised matches what you can see.

Subgrade prep

Excavation, base, compaction to spec

Forms & reinforcement

Wood or steel forms, rebar or mesh as engineered

Mix to spec

Strength, slump, and additives written into the quote

Cure & clean

Controlled cure, daily site cleanup, final walkthrough

Mix design, not guesswork

Every pour uses a mix specified for the application — PSI, slump, and air content selected for the substrate, climate, and use case. Written into the quote, not changed without approval.

Insured crews · workmanship warranty

Every Cannida concrete crew is bonded and insured. Workmanship is warrantied — settlement, cracking outside normal hairlines, or finish defects attributable to our work are covered. Documented in the contract.

Permits and prevailing-wage handling

For sidewalk, ADA, or municipal work we handle permit submittals, inspections, and prevailing-wage documentation as the jurisdiction requires.

They poured the sidewalk on the day they said, finished it cleanly, handled the permit, and the inspector signed off the first time. That's what we hired them for.

What to expect.

Is the $50 booking fee refundable?
Yes. If you decide not to move forward after the on-site estimate, the fee is refunded in full. If you do move forward, it’s credited against the project total.
Concrete reaches usable strength within 24–48 hours for foot traffic and roughly 7 days for light vehicle use, but it doesn’t reach full design strength for 28 days. We’ll mark the pour and tell you exactly when you can walk on it, drive on it, and load it — written into the schedule.
Concrete is sensitive to temperature and precipitation during placement and the first 24 hours. We won’t pour in active rain, when ambient temperatures are below ~40°F without admixtures and protection, or in extreme heat without measures to slow set time. If the weather window slips, we’ll reschedule rather than compromise the pour.
Yes. For sidewalk, ADA, driveway apron, and any work in the public right-of-way, we handle the permit submittal, inspections, and final sign-off. The permit fee is passed through at cost and itemized on the quote.
Hairline cracks, surface spalling, and minor tripping hazards are usually repairable with patching, grinding, or sectional replacement. Heaving from poor subgrade, settlement, deep cracking through the slab, or trip hazards over ½” usually call for replacement. The estimator will tell you which one fits and why — in writing.
Yes. We pour ADA-compliant ramps, curb cuts, and accessible routes to current ADAAG standards, including slope, cross-slope, and detectable warning surface requirements. Common on municipal and commercial work.
